Best Places to See Christmas Lights in New Orleans

Christmas in New Orleans is truly magical, and getting out to see the many Christmas lights and decorations on display is a perfect way to get into the holiday spirit! Below are just a few of the many amazing Christmas displays for you to enjoy.

The Oaks at City Park
On display until January 1st, this celebration marks its 33rd year in 2019. Celebration in the Oaks is truly a festive event! This collection of Christmas lights and decorations has fast become a family tradition for many residents of Crescent City. The fun is spread across 25 acres and includes more than one million lights.

Jackson Square
For a wonderful historic feel, head over to Jackson Square in the French Quarter. Over 40,000 lights give this historic square an old-fashioned Christmas feel that will make your heart smile! St. Louis Cathedral is also hosting a number of Christmas choral concerts and events during the festive season. Be sure to make Jackson Square one of your stops if you are doing a holiday stroll through the Quarter.

The Roosevelt
Ongoing through January 4th, The Roosevelt Hotel on Roosevelt Way has a stunning Christmas masterpiece on display! Come check out the decorations then enjoy a cocktail at the world-famous Sazerac Bar. The lights, more than 112,000 of them, create a magical tableau that will have you feeling like you've been transported to a gorgeous wonderland. The entire lobby, stretching a full city block, is absolutely transformed with elegant decorations and 46 exquisitely decorated Christmas trees!
